lancer 2.0

Lancer changelog

lancer 2.0 is a full rebuild, he works in any server now and you can set him up without typing a single id, and pretty much every feature is new, so here's everything.

works in any server

every server lancer is in gets its own settings, data, strikes, levels and logs. /setup opens a wizard with menus for staff roles, logs, moderation, safety, starboard, tickets, welcome, community, fun and language, plus a permission check page that tells you what he's missing for each feature. /settings brings back that same wizard on a summary page whenever you want to change something, and when he joins a new server he posts a "set me up" button. anything that deletes messages or acts on members stays off until your server turns it on, so he won't surprise anybody.

web dashboard

he has a web dashboard too, you log in with discord, pick a server you manage and every setting from /setup is right there. only people who can manage that server, or have a mod role in it, can change its settings.

language

lancer speaks english and spanish (latin american). menus, private replies and command descriptions follow each person's own discord language, while public posts, logs and dms use the server's language, which you can pick on the language page of /setup or leave on whatever the server's discord language is. command names stay in english for everyone.

lancer's voice

every message is in lancer's voice, based on his lines from the game, and he has lots of different lines for each moment so he doesn't keep saying the same thing, especially for welcomes, goodbyes, level ups and counting fails.

moderation

/punish runs a strike ladder that each server builds for itself, up to 5 steps, anywhere from a 10 minute timeout to 28 days, a kick or a ban. /strikes settings turns the ladder on or off, makes strikes expire after however many days you pick, sets the public punish log, turns mod dms on or off, makes reasons optional and lets you rewrite the dm, and /strikes history, /strikes clear and /strikes import are in there as well.

the new mod commands are /warn, /timeout, /kick, /ban (with an optional duration for tempbans), /softban, /massban, /unban, /removetimeout and /note. every action gets a numbered case, which you can look up with /case, /case list, /case reason and /case delete. /purge filters by user, bots, people, links, files or text and leaves pinned messages alone. channels get /channel slowmode, /channel lock, /channel unlock, /channel lockdown and /channel unlockdown (unlocking puts every channel back how it was), and members get /member nick, /member role add, /member role remove and /member temprole, which hands out a role and takes it back after a set time. /info user and /info server show the basics, and staff see someone's strikes and cases in there too. nobody can act on someone at or above their own top role, or on the owner.

staff

/staff setup picks the staff tier roles and the promotions channel. /staff promote and /staff demote move people one tier at a time, and admins decide which tiers are allowed to promote and demote. /staff list shows the team by tier, and /staff stats shows how many actions each mod did over the last few days.

safety

automod handles invites, links (with an allow list), blocked words, spam, mass mentions and caps, and every rule can delete, warn, time out or give a strike. anti raid kicks brand new accounts and stops join waves with a raid mode that shuts itself off, and if someone starts deleting channels or roles, banning, kicking or making webhooks way too fast, anti nuke takes their roles and tells the owner.

ghost pings get flagged, /channel snipe shows the last deleted message, and the verification panel makes new members pick the spade out of the four card suits to get in. right click any message and hit "report to mods" and the mods get buttons to delete it, time the person out or dismiss it. banned members get an appeal button in their dm, which the mods review in an appeals channel. roles can also come back when someone leaves and rejoins, and /backup saves the server's roles, channels and permissions so it can restore anything that goes missing.

server logs

logs cover 27 kinds of events in 5 groups (messages, members, mod actions, voice and server changes), and each group can go to its own channel. /logs settings picks the channels, the events and which channels to ignore. when lancer can see the audit log, the logs show who did it and why, and joins show which invite was used.

levels

chatting earns EXP and LV, and voice can too, once you turn levels on with /levels on. lancer reads through the server's old messages once so everyone who was already there starts with their EXP. you get level roles, level up announcements, no EXP channels, boost multipliers for roles and channels and a minimum message length. /rank and /leaderboard show where people stand, and the leaderboard is a deltarune style picture with everyone's avatar, LV and a progress bar, or plain text if you'd rather. people who leave keep their spot and get it back if they return.

welcome

welcome and goodbye cards show the member's picture, an optional gif and the member count, with new members pinged right above the card. you can write your own welcome text, send a welcome dm and hand out roles on join.

roles and rules

/rolemenu create and /rolemenu edit build role menus with buttons, a dropdown or reactions, and you see a live preview as you go. /rules create and /rules edit make a rules post with numbered rules and an optional "i agree" button that gives a role. server boosters can make their own role with /boosterrole.

tickets

ticket panels can ask for a reason and hold up to 5 kinds of tickets, each with its own category and staff role. staff can claim tickets, every ticket gets saved as a transcript before it closes, and the person who opened it can rate the help from 1 to 5, which /tickets stats adds up over the last 30 days. /tickets limit caps how many can be open at once.

community

the starboard got a safe board for nsfw channels. the art contest has a gallery to flip through the entries and vote, the top 3 go up publicly without points and the mods get the full tally. giveaways show a live entry count, pick 1 to 50 winners and can be rerolled. /tag makes custom commands, and /remind, /poll, /suggest and /birthday are in as well.

on top of that you get the counting game with record tracking, temporary voice rooms that delete themselves once they're empty, scheduled messages that can repeat, /embed create and /embed edit for custom embeds, auto responses to trigger words, sticky messages that stay at the bottom of a channel, /afk and /highlight (a dm whenever someone says your word), youtube, bluesky and rss alerts, media only channels with automatic threads on media posts, messages that delete themselves after a while, auto publishing in announcement channels, and /stats server plus channel counters like "members: 1,234". for fun stuff there's /lancer 8ball, rate, ship, hug, cookie, plan and quote.

other changes

commands are grouped now (/case, /channel, /member, /staff, /safety and more), which makes the command list a lot shorter, and /help lists everything with a separate staff section. a bunch of bugs from 1.0 got fixed, and the survey and secret santa are gone.

if lancer acts up, come tell me in the discord :)
