ping4utdr 1.0

ping4utdr is finally out!! it's a bot that sends you credited fan art of basically anyone from undertale and deltarune whenever you ping it, so here's everything that's in 1.0.0

getting art

you just ping it with who you want, like @Ping4UTDR kris or @Ping4UTDR kris susie or a ship like @Ping4UTDR kralsei, and it sends a random approved piece with them in it, and nothing repeats until you've seen everything for that request so you're not getting the same three pics over and over. if you ping it with nothing it sends something random from the whole collection, and @Ping4UTDR help explains all of it.

there's 316 characters from undertale and deltarune chapters 1 to 5 in there, from the main cast all the way down to tiny npcs and enemies, and japanese names and the usual nicknames work too. the ships it knows right now are kralsei, suselle, soriel, krusie, kriselle, susiesei, frans, papyton, alphyne, charisk, asrisk, asgoriel and sansby, and the mods can add new ones while they tag stuff.

it does ao3 fics too if you do @Ping4UTDR fic ralsei, but explicit fics never get accepted. every post credits the artist and links back to the original, and if the artist has a ko-fi or patreon or shop it shows that too so people can actually support them. posts with more than one image show up as one gallery instead of a pile of messages.

under every post

there's a ⭐ button to save it to your favorites, which you can look at with /p4ud favorites or get a random one with @Ping4UTDR favs, and you can make your own albums with /p4ud album and share them with people. there's also 🎨 more by this artist and 🔁 more like this if you want to keep going, and 🚩 to report a post if the tags are wrong, it's nsfw, or it's credited to the wrong person.

finding stuff

/p4ud search lets you look by character, ship, artist, game or date, and /p4ud follow add lets you follow a character or ship or artist so you get a dm every day with their new art. if you see a pic and want to know who drew it you can use /p4ud source, or right click the message and go to apps and find the artist. /p4ud guess is a little guess the character game with its own leaderboard for each server, /p4ud leaderboard shows the top submitters and best guessers, and /p4ud stats and /p4ud characters show how big the collection is.

for servers

/p4ud settings is where you set up answer channels, cooldowns, multi-character mode, the embed color, whether ship art is on, and a bunch more. spoiler mode blurs or hides art from the newer deltarune chapters (2 through 5) so nobody gets spoiled, art of the day posts one piece every day in a channel you pick (with a theme if you want one), and every monday the weekly top 10 posts the most saved art of the week.

you can also make art channels, where any links people post get sent to review on their own, and the bot reacts ⏳ when it's sent for review, 🖇️ when it already has it, and ❌ when that artist isn't accepted. /p4ud pinhelp pins a little how-to in there so people know what's going on.

submitting art

you can ping the bot with a link, use /submit, right click a message and hit submit to ping4utdr, or even set up a share shortcut on your phone with /p4ud token create so you can send stuff right from your phone. it works with links from x, bluesky, tumblr, youtube and ao3, including the link fixer sites like fixupx and vxtwitter, and you get a dm when your submission gets accepted.

for artists

if you're an artist, /p4ud myart shows you everything the bot has from your account, and /p4ud optout takes all your work out and keeps it out for good. you just put a code in your bio so it knows it's really you.

moderation

mods get review cards with accept, reject, reject + ignore artist, reject all by artist, flag nsfw (which blocks that artist everywhere) and edit tags for the title, characters, ships and game. /p4ud grid lets you review 4 posts at once sorted by queue or by artist, with tagging and reject marked and reject all for irrelevant or nsfw stuff, and /p4ud bulk is for cleaning up huge backlogs in one click.

once a mod approves one post from an artist, their later clean posts can skip the line, which saves a ton of time. /p4ud reports is for going through reported posts, /p4ud user ban, unban, info and list stops people who abuse the bot in every server, and /p4ud user mod, unmod and mods lets me give people i trust mod access from any server. every new image also gets checked for adult content on the bot's own server before anyone even reviews it.

behind the scenes

every week the bot searches x, bluesky, tumblr and youtube for new undertale and deltarune art, and new posts from artists that are already approved. there's about 5,700 approved posts at launch and about 195,000 more waiting for review lol so there's gonna be a lot more soon. the art is saved on the bot's own server so it keeps working even if the original link changes, and the pictures are stored compressed with a storage cap so it doesn't blow up. there's also an optional public web gallery, and the terms and privacy policy are up here on the site.
